PART 478—COMMERCE IN FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION
Subpart I—Exemptions, Seizures, and Forfeitures
478.146 Deliveries by mail to certain persons. The provisions of this part shall not
be construed as prohibiting a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed
dealer from depositing a firearm for conveyance in the mails to any officer,
employee, agent, or watchman who, pursuant to the provisions of section 1715 of title 18, U.S.
C., is eligible to receive through the mails pistols, revolvers, and other firearms capable of
being concealed on the person, for use in connection with his official duties
§ 478.147 Return of firearm.
A person not otherwise prohibited by Federal, State or local law may ship a firearm to a
licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed dealer for any lawful purpose, and,
notwithstanding any other provision of this part, the licensed manufacturer, licensed importer,
or licensed dealer may return in interstate or foreign commerce to that person the firearm or a
replacement firearm of the same kind and type. See §478.124(a) for requirements of a Form
4473 prior to return. A person not otherwise prohibited by Federal, State or local law may ship
a firearm curio or relic to a licensed collector for any lawful purpose, and, notwithstanding any
other provision of this part, the licensed collector may return in interstate or foreign commerce
to that person the firearm curio or relic.
Under the above provisions you can legally ship your firearm directly to D & V Small Arms and
we can return it directly to you.

Safety
We reserve the right to refuse to work on any firearm we consider excessively worn, abused, or that will be a safety problem.
All guns will be test fired before delivery; customer may supply ammunition if desired, or we will use appropriate ammunition
from our stocks at the prevailing rates. All firearms that cannot be test fired, will have our file copy of the work ticket marked
"UNSAFE TO TEST FIRE."

We offer no specific written or limited warranty. We do all work to the highest gun smithing specifications and stand behind our work. Any liability
or damages on our part is limited to the amount charged for the work that was done. We are not responsible for any modifications affecting our
work, or any misuse or negligence on the part of the operator of the firearm. The customer waives all warranties not expressly made in writing and
waives any and all claims based upon negligence or product liability laws. The customer acknowledges the inherent danger of firearms and
agrees to hold D &V Small Arms harmless for any injury or death arising from the use or misuse of any firearm that D & V Small Arms has preformed
any work on or modified at the customer's direction.
D & V Small Arms is not responsible for damage or function problems due to the use of commercially reloaded or home reloaded ammunition. Our
guns are built to function on factory quality, name brand, ammunition.

We offer an in-house polymer finish that we have total control over. We have also found a source for hard chrome
that has done good work for us so far. There is no other finish on the market, offered by anyone, at any price, that
does work to our standards no matter what they advertise. We have had too much trouble with other finishers,
correcting their mistakes, shipping the guns back to them; over and over again. Due to this our policy is as follows,
with no exceptions:
IF THE FINISH YOU WANT IS NOT OFFERED IN-HOUSE, OR IS NOT BASIC HARD CHROME WE WILL BE HAPPY TO SHIP
YOUR PISTOL BACK TO YOU IN THE WHITE. YOU CAN THEN SEND IT TO THE FINISHER OF YOUR CHOICE. WE ASSUME
NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY THAT FINISHER.
